Removing the pinion
5. Remove the pinion (5), Abb. 26, use a
screwdriver (6) if necessary

Cleaning process
1. Clean the trimmer after every shift with a
brush and warm water (40 to 55°C)
ATTENTION
Clean
the
trimmer
only
if
dismantled (see Chapter 7.1.1)!
Use only cleaning agents that are
compatible with the material and
food!
2. Soak stubborn or encrusted residues
3. Use cleaning agents (recommended:
cleaning foam). 15…20 minutes
application time
4. Rinse the trimmer with warm water
5. Check whether all of the residues have
been removed. If necessary, repeat the
cleaning process
ATTENTION
Before using cleaning agents, check
the material compatibility at a
suitable
location.
Follow
the
manufacturer's
instructions when handling cleaning
agents!
7.1.3
Disinfection
You can disinfect the device with hot water
(at least 85 °C) after each use. Min. 20
minutes application time
Perform the disinfection as a separate step
from the cleaning process
Disinfectants must not be allowed to come into
direct or indirect contact with foodstuffs. Rinse
the machine with clear water after disinfection.
ATTENTION
If you want to chemically disinfect
the trimmer, you must first check the
material compatibility at a suitable
location.
Do not use a steam blaster or high-
pressure cleaner! Do not immerse
the device in water!

Reassembly
Cutting hazard!
Wear cut-resistant safety gloves!
1. Remove the sealing plug and ensure that
no liquid has penetrated the opening.
The ingress of liquid may damage the
bearing and coupling.
In this case, you must send in the device
for inspection
2. Coat all sliding surfaces and gearing on
blade, pinion, blade holder and slide
bearing thinly with EFA special grease.
3. Install the pinion and screw the cover back
on
