hand (Fig.11). Chain tension is correct when
it can be lifted approximately 2-4 mm clear
of the guide bar. The chain must be adjusted
so that can be moved freely by hand.
WARNING
- The throttle lever must be
pressed before the chain can be rotated.
Check that the power cord is NOT
plugged into the mains socket outlet.
- Fully tighten the chain guard fixing knob
(A, Fig.12) while keeping the tip of the bar
raised.
5. STARTING
OIL FILLING AND CHAIN LUBRICATION
The saw chain is automatically lubricated
during use by a pump which normally requires
no maintenance. The oil flow is pre-regulated
by the manufacturer to ensure a sufficient oil
delivery even under heavy working conditions.
During cutting of thin timber a possible oil
dripping is normal.
- Always wipe off around the filler hole before
unscrewing the cap (A, Fig. 13) so that no dirt
enters the oil reservoir.
- During work watch the oil level (B).
- Add oil whenever the oil level in the reservoir
drops to the notch of the minimum.
- After the filling, operate the motor 2 or 3
times to restore correct oil delivery.
- In case of faults do not try to repair the
machine yourself, but apply to your
authorized dealer.
Correct chain lubrication during the cutting
phase reduces wear to a minimum between the
chain and bar thus prolonging life. Always use a
good quality oil.
WARNING - Never use waste oil.
Always use biodegradable lubrificant
(eco -lube Efco p.n. 001001552 (5ℓ) -
001001553 (1ℓ)) which is specific for bar and
chain and also respectful towards nature,
operator health and electric saw’s parts.

connection to the mains before carrying
out any operation on the cutting
equipment.
Before starting make sure the chain is
not obstructed.
When the chainsaw is running, grip the
front handle firmly with your left hand
and the back handle with your right hand
(Fig. 14).
- Stop the motor before setting the chain saw
down.
- Do not lean forward and do not cut above
shoulder height; gripping the saw at the top
of the handle makes it difficult to control and
counteract kickback.
-
Do not use in trees or on steps, this is
extremely dangerous.
-
Ensure that the cable does not snag on
parts of the tree when the machine is in
operation.
- Stop the saw if the chain strikes a foreign
object. Inspect the saw and repair or replace
parts as necessary.
-

instructions too. Keep a proper cutting
stance.
Over exposure to vibrations can result in
blood-vessel or nerve injury to persons
suffering with blood circulation problems.
Seek medical attention if you experience
physical symptoms such numbness, lack
of feeling, reduction in normal strength,
changes in the colour of the skin. These
symptoms normally appear in the fingers,
hands or wrists.
CONNECTION TO THE NETWORK
WARNING - Before connecting the plug
to the network check that the voltage
corresponds to the technical data shown below.
Verify that the dimensions of the extension
cable are according to the specifications,
otherwise a drop in tension may occur causing
a consequent irreparable damage to the motor.
The earth plate is not necessary since the
electric saw motor is double insulated.
