3.1 JOG + Servo on
JOG can be classified into the following 2 types:
Joint Movement: Joint movement controls the robot joints to rotate in the positive
direction or negative direction.
Cartesian Movement: Cartesian movement controls the end effector of a robot to move or
rotate in the positive or negative direction following the X, Y, or Z axes.
Operation Steps:
Step 1: Turn the mode switch on the teach pendant to T1 and Manual-S is shown on the
status bar as illustrated in figure 3-1.

Step 2: Press PWR on the teach pendant to turn on the servo. The process generally takes
3-5 seconds. A sequential click from each of the 6 joints indicates that the servo is ready and
the servo switch icon turns to “ON” on the status bar as in figure 3-2.
