4.4.1 Timing Belt Tension
Customers can use a tensioner to adjust the timing belt or contact our service staff.
The standard range of J5/J6 axis timing belt tension frequency for ER20-1700 is 88±5HZ/110±5HZ.
Refer to standard specifications for check and adjustment. See the operation steps as follows:

Remove the cover plate of the wrist parts. Check the tension of J4 and J6 axis using a timing belt
tensioner. If it is within the standard range, the maintenance is completed. If it is not within the range,
follow the steps below to perform operation.

Loosen the fixing screws of the motor mounting plate until they can be adjusted to the left and
right.

）
Adjust the tension through the adjusting screw of the motor mounting plate. Check the tension
until it satisfies the standard range.

）
Tighten the fixing screws of the motor mounting plate. Refer to the appendix for torque
specifications.

）
Properly loosen the adjusting screw and tighten the lock nut to prevent the screw from loosening.

）
Install the cover plate of the wrist part, and the maintenance is completed.
