Adjustment and tightening
A loose V-belt can result in insufficient charging of
the battery.
1. Check the V-belt by pressing the middle section
with a finger to see if there is approx. 7–9 mm slack
(about 10 kg of pressure).
2. Check the V-belt for wear and tear.
Tightening
Loosen the two bolts that hold the generator, then
adjust/tighten them until the V-belt is at the required
tension. Remember to tighten the bolts and nuts
after adjusting! (Picture 3)
3.12 Removal of wheels
Before removing a wheel, the engine must be
stopped and the parking brake activated.
Loosen the wheel nuts before the wheel is lifted off
the ground.
