Brake drum
Engage the handbrake
3.16 Checking for worn brakes
1. For both options described as below: Stop the
machine, engage the hand brake and remove both
front tyres. (Picture 1)
2. Option 1: Check each break, the mark on the wheel
flange may not be covered by the brake drum. If the
mark is covered the drum needs replacement.

3. Option 2: Check each break – find the bonnet key, it
is placed in the keychain with the tractor starter key.
(Picture 3 + 4)
The wheel flange must be outside the bonnet key. If the flange is
covered or almost covered the drum must be replaced.
Place the bonnet key up against the drum
Worn mark on wheel flange
