TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
CAUSE
SOLUTION
Pole saw does
not run.
◾
No electrical contact between
the saw and battery pack.
◾
Remove the battery pack, check
contacts and reattach the battery pack.
◾
The battery pack is depleted.
◾
Charge the battery pack.
◾
Bad connection between the
power pole and pole saw
attachment.
◾
Remove pole saw attachment,
check contacts and reconnect it to
power pole, following the section
“
CONNECTING THE POLE SAW

”
◾
The battery pack or power
pole is too hot.
◾
Allow the battery pack or power pole to
cool down before restarting the tool.
◾
Debris in bar groove
◾
Clear the debris in the groove.
◾
Debris in chain-sprocket
cover.
◾
Remove battery pack, then remove
chain-sprocket cover and clean out
debris.
Motor runs,
but chain does
not rotate.
◾
Chain does not engage drive
sprocket.
◾
Remove the battery pack and reinstall
the chain, making sure that the drive
links on the chain are fully seated on
the sprocket.
Pole saw
does not cut
properly.
◾
Insufficient chain tension.
◾
Remove the battery pack and readjust
the chain tension, following the section

Dull chain.
◾
Sharpen the chain cutters, following

Chain installed backwards.
◾
