Basic position
Sitting upright (buttocks not touching
the back rest), sternum in contact with
the pad. Handles held slightly below
shoulder height with arms slightly bent.
Starting position
Legs as close together as possible.
Finishing position
Handles in line with the shoulders.
Exercise description
With the elbows slightly bent, open
the arms outwards/towards the
back and then bring them together
again. Keep the shoulders unshrug-
ged at all times.
