Infra-Red Tweaker
Sometimes, an IR code transmitted from a
CS-Wi4 may not perform as smoothly or
reliably as the original. This can happen due
to production tolerances in the various items,
from the original handset, the IR sampler, the
PC, the CS-Wi4 and finally the equipment you
are trying to control with the IR signal.
If you encounter this problem, you can often
correct it using Infra-Red Tweaker, which
allows you to quickly make small adjustments
to the timing of an IR signal that you have
already installed in the CS-Wi4 and then test
it on the equipment. You need to have the CS-Wi4 connected to your PC and
awake, but no new download is required so it’s very quick to test the effect of
your change, or reverse it if it doesn’t work.
Edit Source
Edit Source allows you to access the underlying code behind the program you
create when you use the software.
Don’t use this tool unless you know
what you are doing!
You will be warned:
Here is a small part of the
code. It’s quite readable.
You can delete items at will
provided you also delete
matching pairs of braces.
Where
Edit Source
can be
very useful is where you
have to make multiple
global changes to a
configuration. An easy way
to do this is to copy the
entire source text from the
Source Code
window
(highlight all the text and
press
<ctrl-C>
) to a plain
text editor such as
Notepad, use the Find and
Replace tools in Notepad, then paste it back into the Edit Source window.
Create Sales Presenter
creates a free-standing Windows application that
emulates the program you have created on a PC. You can email this file to a
client to demonstrate how the CS-Wi4 will work.
