1. Important notes
The mains transformer converts the mains voltage
of 230V ~ 50Hz to a safe, extra-low voltage of
12V / 50Hz.
The transformer is fully enclosed and equipped
with a shaped power plug. To ensure a secure fit
of the power plug, run the transformer only from a
socket outlet with earthing contact.
Protect the transformer from rain, moisture and
damage.
The operating voltage of the UV lamp, as well as
the output voltage of the transformer, is 12V
alternating voltage (extra-low voltage).
This extra-low voltage provides optimum
protection from touch voltage for both people and
animals. Nevertheless, please be aware that any
damage to the transformer and/or cables could
pose a shock hazard.
For additional protection we recommend the use
of an earth-leakage circuit-breaker (e.l.c.b.) with
10mA or max. 30mA leakage current.
Use only suitable cables and branching boxes
with terminals to extend the power supply line.
Please consult your electrician or Einhell
Customer Service.
This device generates hazardous radiation. Direct
contact with the UV lamp can cause damage to
eyes and skin.
To prevent overheating, switch off the UV lamp
when the system filter is not in use.
To protect the system filter from frost damage,
store it in a dry, frost-free place during the winter
months.
2. Use
The system pond filter was developed for cleaning
pond water in four stages: mechanical, biological,
chemical and using UV light. This process ensures a
natural biological cycle in your garden pond.
A fountain pump with a delivery rate of max. 1000 l/h
is required for optimum operation of the system filter.
If you have a fountain pump with a delivery rate
greater than 1000 l/h, reduce the flow quantity
accordingly via the water spout connection.
3. Technical data
For pond volumes up to:
2500 l
Delivery rate max.:
1000 l/h
UV lamp:
12V / 5W
4. Prior to putting into operation
Before putting the system filter into operation for the
first time, you must install the UV lamp. To do so,
proceed as follows
(see Figures 1, 2 and 3):
Caution!
Pull out the power plug before starting any
assembly, disassembly or maintenance work.
Do not touch the UV lamp with your bare hands!
Use a thin cloth.
