•

The compressor may be used only in suitable

rooms (with good ventilation and an ambient

temperature from +5 °C to 40 °C). There must

be no dust, acids, vapors, explosive gases or

inflammable gases in the room.

•

The compressor is designed to be used in dry

rooms. It is prohibited to use the compressor

in areas where work is conducted with spray-

ed water.

6. Before putting into operation

•

Before you connect the equipment to the

power supply make sure that the data on the

rating plate are identical to the supply voltage.

•

Ensure that there are adequate cleaning pro-

ducts available for all the paints you intend to

use in the spray gun.

•

Ensure that room temperature and ventilation

are suitable for the paints you intend to use

(refer to the manufacturer’s instructions).

•

To achieve particularly good results refer to

the literature on the subject of airbrush coa-

ting (not supplied).

6.1 Assembly (Fig. 1, 3, 4)

•

Secure the holder (7) to the compressor

housing.

•

Secure the compressed air hose (11) to the

compressed air connector (6).

•

Secure the airbrush spray gun (12) to the th-

readed adapter on the compressed air hose.

•

The airbrush spray gun can be placed in the

holder on the device (7) during short breaks

in painting.

•

The additional holder (16) for the airbrush

spray gun can be secured to a wall or work-

bench using screws (the screws are not sup-

plied).

6.2 Preparing the workpieces

•

Clean the workpieces before painting them.

A surface which is free of grease, oil and dust

will improve the result. Depending on the sur-

face and paint, it may be necessary to sand

the surface before applying the paint.

•

If you apply several layers of paint, ensure

that the products you use are compatible with

each other.

•

Mask any surfaces which you do not wish to

paint for example using templates, masking

foil, masking tape or the like (not supplied).

•

Depending on the paint you are using and the

color you wish to achieve, it may be necessa-

ry to apply a prime coating.

7. Operation

7.1 On/Off switch (Fig. 2)

To switch on the equipment set the On/Off switch

(10) to position “I”.

Move the On/Off switch to position “0” to switch

off the equipment.

7.2 Pressure setting (Fig. 1, 5)

•

Pull the screw (8) to set the pressure. The

pressure can now be set by turning the screw

clockwise or anti-clockwise. The set pressure

is shown on the pressure gage (9).

•

Then press the screw to lock it in the set posi-

tion.

•

The set pressure can be drawn from the com-

pressed air connector (6).

•

Use a low pressure setting for low viscosity

paint and small quantities of paint.

•

Use a higher pressure setting for higher vis-

cosity paint and larger quantities of paint.

•

Carry out a painting test to help you set the

pressure.

•

Do not use pressure settings of less than 1

bar. If the output pressure is set to below 1

bar, the compressor will not start because of

pressure differences set at the factory.

7.3 Pressure switch

The compressor has a pressure switch which cuts

out when the set pressure has been reached.

The cut-out pressure is set at the factory to ap-

prox. 4 bar with the pressure regulator fully ope-

ned (8). As compressed air is used, the compres-

sor will cut in again after the pressure falls below

a lower limit set at the factory.
