Preparation for use and use
The use of a respirator fitted with a filter must be properly trained and fully conversant with the relevant instructions for
use. Remove the packaging and cover from the filter. Ensure that the airtight seal is not damaged. Check if the coding of
the filter is the correct one for the intended use, check by visual inspection if it is in perfect conditions and if the caps are
inserted. Connect hermetically filter to facepiece, put on respirator and check tightness against face. The filter duration
depends on the condition of use. Filters for protections against odourless gases and vapours (for example mercury and
carbon monoxide) must only be used once and for a short period, determined by the actual working conditions. For
special filters such as AX filters, there are special instructions that must be followed. Particle and combined filters (used in
dusty conditions) must be replaced when an increase in breathing resistance is felt. Filters shouldn't be used in presence
of substances that can block the air inlet. Before re-using the same filter make sure that it was stored in accordance with
storage paragraph. Pay attention to the conditions of the connector to the mask. It must be clean and not obstructed,
without deposits of substances that can prevent the correct functioning.
7.
Disposal
Filters are special waste goods and must be disposed according to the substances retained and local legislation.
