Taking the temperature
Clock setting
. To start – press the ON/MEM button. You will hear two beep sounds.
The thermometer is ready for use.
. Press and hold the ON/MEM button for 5 seconds. The ”Set” icon
flashes which indicates that you are in setting mode.
3. Press the scan button and the “4” icon flashes. This indicates
that you are in the /4 - hour setting mode.
4. Press the SCAN button if you want to change from the 4 hour cycle
to the hour cycle.
5. Press the ON/MEM button to set the time and date according
to the sequence below:
Hour
minute
year
month
day.
6. While the hour, minutes, year, month and day setting are flashing
you can change the numbers by pressing the SCAN button.
7. Finish by pressing the ON/MEM button. You will hear two
beep sounds.
Use of thermometer
Always make sure the probe is clean and not damaged.
Switch on:
Press ON/MEM button
Ear mode:
The default mode for the thermometer is ear mode. The icon for ear
is displayed and you hear two beep sounds.
Scan mode:
While the thermometer is on, press and hold the ON/MEM button and
at the same time press the SCAN button once. You are in the “infrared
thermometer” mode and the icon shows in the display. You can
now measure the surface temperature of an object.
Stopwatch:
While the thermometer is on, press and hold the ON/MEM button
and at the same time press the SCAN button twice. You are now in the
“stopwatch” mode and the icon shows in the display. In stopwatch
mode you can count from 0.0 se. to 3 minutes. Press the SCAN button
to start the stopwatch.

Taking the temperature in the ear:
Note:
• It is recommended that you measure the same ear 3 times. If the three
measurements are different, select the highest.
• To avoid the risk of cross contamination, please clean the probe
according to “Care and cleaning” section after each use.
• A healthy person can have different temperatures depending on
where the temperature is take. The variance can be between 0. - °C.
• Clinical repeatability: 0.3°C (< year old), 0.°C (~5 years old),
0.°C (>5 years old)
To obtain an accurate reading, gently pull the ear back to straighten
the ear canal and snugly position the probe into the ear canal,
aiming towards the membrane of the eardrum.
Press and hold the “SCAN” button until you hear a beep sound.
Remove the probe from ear and read the temperature measurement
on the LCD.
