Taking the temperature in SCAN mode:
• While the thermometer is on, press and hold the ON/MEM button and at
the same time press the SCAN button once.
The icon shows in the display.
• Hold the probe to the object and press the SCAN button to update the
actual temperature.
This mode can be used to measure water, milk, cloth, skin etc.
Note:
This mode gives the surface temperature which is different from the body
temperature.
To get the room temperature:
• Program the thermometer according to the section “CLOCK SETTING”.
When the thermometer is not in use the display automatically shows the
room temperature in the display with the icon.
• To get the correct room temperature, place the thermometer on a table
away from direct sunlight or air conditioning.
The correct room temperature will show after 5 min.

After use
• To extend battery life, the device will automatically turn off if not in use
for more than minute. The LCD will display the date, time and room
temperature.
• Clean the probe after each use to ensure an accurate reading and avoid
cross contamination. (See the section of Care and Cleaning for details.)
• Use the probe cap when not in use.
Press and hold the “ON/MEM” button and at the same time press the
“SCAN” button twice for “stopwatch” mode.
Press the SCAN button to start or stop the counting. Press the ON/MEM
button to reset the counting.
Press and hold the “ON/MEM” button and at the same time press the
“SCAN” button to exit stopwatch mode.
Use of stopwatch
Count the number of heartbeats in 5 seconds and multiply by 4 to get the total for
minute. The normal rate is 7 heartbeats per minute.
How to measure heartbeat
The probe is the most delicate part of the thermometer. Handle with care when
cleaning the lens to avoid damage.
• After measurement, use a cotton swab with alcohol (70% concentration) to
clean the lens.
• Allow the probe to dry completely for at least minute.
• Storage temperature range: -0~50°C (-4~°F), RH≤85%
• Keep the unit dry and away from any liquids and direct sunlight.
• The probe should not be submerged in liquids.
Note:
• If the device is dropped, please check that it is not damaged. If you are not sure if it is
damaged, please send the complete devise to the nearest retailer for recalibration.
• If you hold the thermometer for a long time it may cause the devise to give a higher
room temperature reading. This can even affect body temperature measurement to be
lower than usual.
