Caution:
•
Never touch the hot soleplate with bare hands. Danger of Burns!
Vertical steam ironing
Note:
Vertical steam ironing can be applied to hanging curtains or clothes (suits, jackets
and coats).
Caution:
Never direct the steam at people or pets.
1. The steam settings refer to section Steam ironing.
2. When the temperature indicator light remains, it indicates that the appliance is ready for steam ironing.
3. Hold the iron in vertical position at the garments or curtains. Continue to move the iron when ironing.
Automatic shut-off
•
The electronic shut-off function automatically switches the heating element off if the iron has not been
moved for a while.
1. The light starts blinking and several beep sounds will be heard to indicate that the iron has been
switched off by the safety shut-off function.
1) In horizontal position, this will happen after 30 seconds.
2) In side position, this will happen after 30 seconds.
3) In vertical position, this will happen after 8 minutes.
2. To let the iron heat up again
1) Pick up the iron or move it slightly. The light stops blinking.
2) If the light goes on, wait for it to go out before you start ironing.
3) If the light does not go on, the iron is ready for use.
Self-clean function
The self-clean function helps remove the scale particles. Use the self-clean function regularly according
to hardness of water and using frequency. If the water in your area is very hard (i.e. flakes come out of the
soleplate during ironing), the self-clean function should be used more frequently.
Fill the water tank to MAX level.
Put the plug in the wall socket.
Set the temperature control button to self-clean function.
Gently shake the iron until all water in the tank has been used up.
Repeat the self-clean process if the water coming out of the iron still contains scale particles.
