Change the IP address (optional)

If  needed,  change  the  IP  address  of  your  appliance  so  that  it  matches  the
address  scheme  of  your  local  area  network  (LAN).  At  the  Elastix  web  user
interface  go  to:  System

Network  ,  here  you  can  configure  the  global

network parameters of your appliance as well as the individual parameters of
each of the 3 network interfaces (Note: interfaces 2 and 3 will be listed after
having connecting them to your switch or router). We recommend the use of
an static IP address. (Figure 3)

Restoring back to the default installation

Please follow the steps described below if you find yourself wanting to have your
miniUCS restored back to a clean/default installation:

1.

Remove the CompactFlash (CF) memory card from inside the miniUCS and
insert it in a card reader on a Linux PC or laptop

2.

Take note of the device that represents the CF:

fdisk –l | grep GB

(it would be the device which size is close to 16 GB)
For this example we will assume the CF card was assigned as /dev/sdb

3.

Unmount all partitions that were automatically mounted (if applicable), for
example /dev/sdb1, /dev/sdb2, etcétera :

umount /dev/sdb1
umount /dev/sdb2

etc.

4.

Download the image:

wget "http://www.elastix.org/Elastix23miniUCS.img"

5.

Write the image to the CF:

dd if=Elastix24miniUCS.img of=/dev/sdb

6.

Remove the card from the reader and insert it back in the miniUCS’ CF slot
