Troubleshooting
Whenever a fault occurs, check to ensure
that the system is functioning according to
basic specifications:
1.
Is it connected to the power
supply ?
2.
Is there oil in the tank ?
3.
Are all shutoff valves open ?
4.
Are all regulating and safety
devices (boiler thermostat, low
water level detector, end-limit
switches, etc.) correctly adjusted ?
If the fault cannot be rectified after
checking the above points, inspect
each burner component in turn to check
that it is functioning as part of the
system.
·
Note any blink-codes emitted by the
automatic firing unit, and check their
meaning with the following table..
Use the readout device (available as an
optional accessory) to obtain further
in-depth information on the system’s
operating and malfunction procedures.
Do not attempt to repair safety
components. Replace them with original
parts bearing the same order number.
m
Use ORIGINAL spares only.

Fault in automatic unit
Determine cause of brownout or power cut.
Check thermostat.
Replace automatic unit.
Burner functions briefly at startup,
before shutting down and emitting
the following signal:

Automatic unit has been blocked
intentionally.
Reset automatic unit.
The burner fails to restart after a
thermostat-controlled shutdown,
and emits the following signal:

Unauthorised flame during the
pre-ventilation/pre-ignition period.
Replace solenoid valve
Burner starts up, goes into
malfunction mode shortly after
activation of the ignition
transformer, and emits the following
signal:
x y y y y
No flame present at end of safety period
Check level of oil in tank
Top tank up as required.
Open valves.
Check pump for oil pressure and correct
functioning; check coupling, filter and
solenoid valve.
Check ignition circuit, electrodes and
their adjustment settings. Clean the
electrodes. Clean flame-monitoring
device, or replace.
Replace the following items as required:
Electrodes
Ignition cable
Transformer
Nozzle
