4.7.3 Stock out with obligatory customer number entry and verification
An obligatory customer number entry with its verification is set by the second digit of the second electronic
journal flag (chapter 3.4.3).
If the above mentioned flag is set to 2, the stock out can begin after setting the cash register to stock out
mode and entering the customer number, which is verified in the descriptive PLU names database. As
described in previous sentence, the descriptive PLU names are used for identification of the customer
number. Thus, the descriptive PLU name must contain maximally 8-figure number, which matches to the
customer number to whom the stock out is allowed. If this number has less than 8 figures, the descriptive
PLU name must be complemented by zeros to the very left side.
Example 1:
Customer number
Descriptive PLU name
12345678
12345678
456789
00456789
123
00000123
If only a few left figures (prefix) from the whole customer number is sufficient for verification, the
descriptive PLU name may contain only the required number of figures.
Example 2:
Prefix
Descriptive PLU name
123nnnnn
123
23nnnnn
023
3nnnnn
003
, where n is arbitrary number.
Note:
If the length of prefixes is unequal and one is subset of the longer one (e.g. 123 is a subset of
1234) then the first found customer number is returned as verified.
