Description of displays
Cashier display description
The novelty item in POS-3000 is the touch sensitive display that al-
lows simple servicing of even the difficult POS functions. The POS-
3000 cashier display is the touch sensitive colour LCD display of cut-
ting-edge construction. It is capable of displaying any character or icon
and activating its assigned function by pressing lightly using pen or
index finger.
The touch sensitive display is very delicate device. It shouldn’t be serv-
iced by a person with wet and/or dirty hands. Presence of water in the
ECR can cause system failure. Use blunt plastic objects or fingers to service the display. Do not
apply force while pressing due fragility of used materials. Protect the display from any mechanical
damage. Do not use the display in humid environments.
Customer display description
8-digit LCD display
The 8-digit LCD customer display of the POS-3000 possesses eight
large and four smaller digital segments and additionally contains de-
scriptive texts PLU, DPT, and LowBat. This display can be divided
on the descriptive part and numerical part. Numerical part of the dis-
play shows mainly numerical values (price). The POS-3000 uses only
the numerical part of the display to show numerical values.
10-digit LCD display
The 10-digit LCD customer display of the POS-3000 is equipped
with ten large digital segments and additionally carries additional ar-
row shaped segments. This display can be partitioned to the numeri-
cal part and part containing the arrows. Numerical part of the display mainly displays numeri-
cal data (price). The POS-3000 uses only the numerical part of the display to show numerical
values.
Alphanumerical display 2×20 characters
The alphanumerical display for the POS-3000 is capable of displaying
two rows of twenty characters. Alphanumerical means that it can display
both numerals and letters.
