ECR description
If the ECR is turned on for the first time, there is at least one cashier programmed. Pick one and
press OK (default cashiers do not have passwords). The compulsory logging in can be turned off
in the programming mode, group Printing and speech synthesis.
Logging out is performed by pressing the Exit button on the touch sensitive display or pressing
Cancel Esc
on the POS keyboard or its PC keyboard equivalent until the login dialogue ap-
pears. If the compulsory login is turned off, pressing
Exit
button returns to the Mode selection
dialogue.
ECR mode selection
The Mode selection dialogue offers five ECR modes to pick from. The selection can be made us-
ing either POS or PC keyboard or by simply pressing the corresponding icon on the display.
Tap the selected icon on the display or select the icon using
Tab
keys (selected icon has got a
thicker rim) and press
Space
.
Registration mode is used to register sales and transactions.
Programming mode is used to programme all the values or functions of the ECR. It is activated
by pressing programming mode icon.
X reports serve to display or print the sale overview. Does not clear ECR fiscal data and is acti-
vated by its respective icon.
Z reports do print all kinds of sales overviews that consequently clear the ECR fiscal data. It is
activated by pressing the respective icon.
Training mode is used to train new cashiers. Fiscal operations performed in this mode are not re-
corded into ECR memory and do not appear in reports.
If you mistakenly entered an incorrect mode, you can press
Cancel Esc
or its equivalent and re-
turn to the ECR mode selection dialogue.
Access to individual modes is subject to cashier authorisation for given modes.
