3 GETTING STARTED
To switch the gauge on, press and hold the “On/Off” ( ) key.
The gauge has an integrated backlight which will timeout after 30 seconds of inactivity.
The unit will switch off automatically after 5 minutes of inactivity.

The Elcometer AVU is supplied with an Elcometer 506 20mm dolly adaptor fitted. Dolly adaptors for other adhesion gauges from Elcometer and other
manufacturers, are available as optional accessories - see Section 7 “Dolly Adaptors” on page 6 for details.
