- the table below presents approximate drying times for some products.
Draying time depends on the kind of product, thickness of the slices
and water content,
- the drying time depends also on the temperature and humidity of the room,
- the products should be washed before drying,
- any overripe parts or pits and stones should be removed,
- in the case of herbs, only the young leaves should be dried,
- the dried products should be stored in glass containers with metal lids
in a dark and dry place; dried herbs can be stored in paper bags,
- only cooled down products should be stored,
- the storage containers should be clean and dry,
