3.3 Opening and closing the device
The housing of the conductivity indicator can
be opened to replace the battery or to adjust the
measuring range.
To do this, carefully insert a slim screwdriver or
another suitable part into the gap between the
electronics housing and the sealing cap.
You can loosen the cap by carefully levering it.
To close the housing, place the sealing cap on the
housing with a precise fit.
Make sure that the colored markings match the color
of the LEDs. Then press the sealing cap down until you hear it click into place.
Please note that the plastic of the housing can be damaged by sharp-edged objects or by
excessive force.
3.4 Twisting the cap
The sealing cap can be twisted and the position of the light-emitting diodes can be adjusted to the
structural situation.
ATTENTION! The locking cap should not be rotated more than 360°. Over-twisting can cut internal
wires or damage the electronics.
3.5 Battery replacement
Open the housing as described under 3.3.
Carefully remove the circuit board. The
battery holder is on its back.
Remove the existing battery and replace it
with a CR2450 3V lithium button cell.
Then put the circuit board back into the
housing and close it as described under
3.3.
