Before first use
• Clean the unit before first use (
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
).
• Place the unit on a stable, level, non-slip and heat-resistant surface.
• The unit may give off a little smoke or a slight odour on the first use. This is normal for
new units and will wear off with regular use. Should you wish, you can use the
CLEAN
programme to dispel the odour and smoke.
• The unit may vibrate and move slightly across the worktop during use. Do not place the
unit near the edge of a worktop as it could accidentally fall.
• Do not place the unit on a hot surface such as a stove.
• Fully unwind the power cable.
Using the soup maker
WARNING!
• Always ensure the lid is correctly installed when using the unit.
• Only remove the lid once the blade has come to a complete stop.
• The blade is very sharp. Handle it with extreme caution.
• Never put your hand or fingers in the jug. Do not touch moving parts when
the unit is in use. There is a risk of injury.
• Never run the unit whilst it is empty, in order to avoid overheating the motor.
• Do not overfill the jug. The maximum fill level is 2,000 ml.
• Always unplug the power cable from the mains socket before assembling the
unit or removing its lid.
• Do not use the unit in a continuous manner. Let it cool down between programme
cycles. When using the
BLEND/CLEAN
programme, the maximum duration
of 1 blending cycle is 20 seconds.
Preparing the ingredients
We recommend preparing the ingredients before switching on the unit. Thoroughly wash all
the ingredients and chop them into small pieces.

• Cut off any inedible parts (such as hard skin, stems or
roots).
Meat
• Only use minced meat, with no whole pieces.
