Operating Instructions
Prior to using for the first time
0
Plug the mains plug into the mains
socket.
0
To avoid the build up of unpleasant
odours, the appliance should be placed
near an open window and operated a
few times at the maximum browning
setting
without any bread
.
Toasting bread
0
Plug the mains plug into the mains
socket.
0
Using the browning control (Figure 1/C
and Figure 2) adjust steplessly the
browning setting from 1-6 as required.
Setting 1 for lightest browning. Setting
6 for darkest browning.
3
An automatic test is performed on first
turning the selector switch from the
"0" position. All indicator lamps light
briefly and an acoustic signal sounds.
Then the selector indicator lights cor-
responding to the set degree of brown-
ing.
Use a setting between 1 and 3 when
you first start toasting. If the toast is
not browned to your liking, set the
adjuster lower or higher, higher for
example when toasting rye or dark
bread. When toasting only 1 slice and
also when toasting bread that is no
longer fresh, use a slightly lower
browning setting.
3
We would recommend to adjust a set-
ting that the toast is browned to a „gol-
den yellow“ or „light-brown“ colour. The
electronic toasting time regulator
ensures that once a browning setting
has been chosen, the results are always
the same for the same type of bread.
0
Insert bread for toasting.
0
Press the bread lift button
(Figure
1/D and Figure 2).
The toaster switches on and the bread
moves down.
3
During toasting, the browning degree
selector goes out in steps.
3
When the required degree of browning
has been reached, the toaster switches
off automatically and an acoustic sig-
nal sounds.
The slices of toast are lifted up ready
for removal.
0
After use, turn the browning degree
selector to position "0" and remove the
plug from the socket.
3
If you want to turn off the acoustic
signal permanently, use the slide
switch on the underside of the appli-
ance (Figure 1/N and Figure 7).
Stop button
(Figure 1/G and Figure 2)
If you want to interrupt toasting, press
the stop button. The appliance
switches off and the toast is lifted up.
Once chosen, the browning setting
remains unchanged.
Defrost button
(Figure 1/F and Figure 2)
Press the defrost button when toasting
frozen bread. This lengthens the toast-
ing time.
Warm up button
(Figure 1/E and Figure 2)
To warm up toasted bread press the
warm up button to keep the toast
warm and crisp.

1

during toasting, do not touch.
0

ure 1/J) down (Figure 3).
