Packaging material
The packaging materials are environ-
mentally friendly and can be recycled.
The plastic components are identified
by markings, e.g. >PE<, >PS<, etc.
Please dispose of the packaging mate-
rials in the appropriate container at
the community waste disposal faci-
lities.

Old appliance
The symbol

on the product or on
its packaging indicates that this pro-
duct may not be treated as household
waste. Instead it shall be handed over
to the applicable collection point for
the recycling of electrical and electro-
nic equipment. By ensuring this pro-
duct is disposed of correctly, you will
help prevent potential negative conse-
quences for the environment and
human health, which could otherwise
be caused by inappropriate waste
handling of this product. For more
detailed information about recycling
of this product, please contact your
local city office, your household waste
disposal service or the shop where you
purchased the product.

Dispose of batteries!
Dispose of used batteries in the correct
way and take them to a designated
collection station.
Putting into operation
Batteries permitted
The two batteries supplied must be fit-
ted before use. Use only batteries of
the same kind when replacing (refer to
"Technical data").
Inserting batteries

Unlock and remove upper part by turn-
ing slightly
clockwise
(fig. 2a).

Insert the two batteries corresponding
to the polarity marked on the case
(fig. 2b).

Replace upper part and lock by turning
slightly
counter-clockwise

If the speed clearly falls or the spiral
whisk is out of balance, the batteries
are flat and must be replaced. Always
replace both batteries.
If the appliance is not used for a long
time, remove batteries from case.
Initial cleaning
The appliance should be cleaned thor-
oughly before using for the first time
(refer to "Cleaning and care").
Cocoa powder sprinkler
Open the cocoa powder sprinkler by
lifting the cover with the two straps
and fill with cocoa powder (fig. 3).
