SYMPTOM

No power to the appliance

The temperature in the freezer is too high

The freezer lid will not open

Excessive frost and ice has built up

Noise

SOLUTION

Check there is power at the socket
Check there is not a power cut by checking the

household lights.
Check the mains fuse has not blown.

Check the thermostat control knob is turned to the

correct setting relevant to ambient conditions.
Check the ambient temperature is within the

appliance's operating limits of 10° to 32°C. 

Has the lid just been opened? If so leave for a few

minutes to allow the air pressure to equalise.
Adjust the thermostat control knob to give correct

temperature control. See 'Temperature Control'.

Check that the lid is closed.
Large quantities of food have recently been placed in

the cabinet/and or the lid is frequently opened.
Check that air ventilation is not obstructed.
Ensure the lid has not been left open.
Check that nothing is preventing the lid from closing.
Is the lid gasket intact and clean?
Has advised periodic cleaning been carried out.

Something Not Working

If the appliance is not working correctly, please carry out the following checks before calling out an engineer.

If after all above checks there is still a fault, contact Expert Appliance Care.

In-guarantee customers should ensure that the above checks have been made, as the engineer will make a

charge if the fault is not a mechanical or electrical breakdown.
