EE801W-SL(G) Quick Set-up Reference
Pre-use Testing & First Time Activation
A pre-use testing is recommended to ensure the functionality of the light. If the testing occurred during daytime or under bright
lighting conditions, make sure the solar panel is fully covered. To active the light, simply press the button in the back of the unit
(Refer Fig 1). The white color LED light will immediately turn on. If solar panel is exposed to sunlight or any lighting condition,
the light will automatically turn off in a few seconds. If the light works as described, users can move to installation process.
Mounting & Installation
This light is for outdoor use only. An ideal installation area should be a flat and stable mounting surface that can guarantee the
solar panel with maximum exposure to direct sunlight. An average of 6-8 hour direct sunlight in a daily basis is necessary for
dusk-to-dawn performance. Therefore, spiral/curved staircase may not be an ideal mounting application for this light. For
northern hemisphere installation, a southern-facing solar panel is recommended and visa-versa for southern hemisphere
installation. East/west-facing installations with good sunlight exposure also works.
Use mounting bracket to mark four hole locations on mounting surface (Refer Fig 2). Predrill the holes on desired locations.
Secure the bracket with provided screws and anchors. Slide the lightbody onto the mounting bracket.
For wood surfaces, drill the holes on pre-marked locations and install the mounting bracket.
For surfaces of concrete, brick or stucco, use a masonry bit (with appropriate size & length) to drill clearance holes.
Insert the plastic anchors and screws. Then install the mounting bracket.
Notes:
Avoid placing objects in front of the motion detector
Avoid installing the unit near air conditioners, central heaters, high voltage systems
Avoid placing the motion detector head towards high movement areas
Clean the solar panel with a moist soft cloth at least once a year
Clean accumulated snow as soon as possible during the snowing season
Do not expose the light to fire/intense heat or immerse in water
Never look directly into the light or shine it into another person’s eyes
If the light doesn’t turn on during first-time activation, recharge the battery for 1-2
days
The light will automatically turn off when it detects low voltage from the battery.
This might happens after 3-4 cloudy days. For best charging performance, please
ensure the solar panel will receive sufficient sunlight exposure.

True Dusk to Dawn Illuminating Profile:
During nighttime, when the built-in photocell senses the decreasing ambient light level, the light will automatically illuminate in
darkness. When dawn comes, the light extinguishes when ambient light level start to increase (Refer Fig 3). As a sound-activated
safety & security light, when no sound being detected, the light’s color LED board will illuminates, providing colorful background
lighting illumination. When sound being detected, the white color LED light will illuminate with default maximum brightness for
security & safety illumination for 30 seconds (Refer Fig 4). When sound ceased and no longer been detected, the light will
automatically switch back to colorful background lighting illumination. Activating the unit during nighttime or in dark environment is
recommended. For daytime setup and activation make sure the solar panel is fully covered. This light is not featured with any
motion sensing technology. For motion sensing smart lights, please refer to other eLEDing & eSenlite products.
