Chapter 9 Teach Pendant
The teach pendant is an important component of the ELITE robot. Through the teach
pendant, the user may read log information of the robot while enabling the robot to move with a
teaching way and simply programming the robot.

The teach pendant mainly includes a 8.4-inch LCD touch screen, a mains switch, an
emergency stop button, a force switch and a socket for a teach pendant connecting line. The
touch screen may not only show the detailed motion of the robot to the user clearly, including the
position and pose parameters and so on, but facilitate operations of the user. All operations may
be completed by directly clicking the screen.
The housing of the teach pendant is designed in combination with aesthetics and ergonomics,
and the back thereof is equipped with a nylon rope and two hanging rings. The nylon rope is used
to hold the teach pendant, and the teach pendant can be suspended on an electric control cabinet
by making use of the hanging rings.
The force switch belongs to the three-position enabling switch which can implement
three-position motions of avoiding the danger: OFF (release)

⇒
OFF (press). When the
switch is ON, the teaching operation can be implemented by dragging the robot.
