Exerciser User Interface
User Guide
Selections Common to All Modes
SSelected Mode
– Provides the user a choice of operating modes: USB Power Delivery or USB
3.x.
RUN Button
– Initiates operation of the Exerciser.
STOP Button
– Halts operation of the Exerciser.
Quit Button
– Closes the application.
Version Number
– Indicates the current version number and when selected, allows the user
to check for new updates and download new updates. Will have a red background when a
new update is available online.
The Exerciser application displays a mode selection at the top (for USB Power Delivery or USB 3.x modes), several
selectable mode-specific tabs across the top, and common control features at the bottom. The various selections are
described below:
USB Power Delivery Mode
General Tab
– Provides selections and definitions for Sink and Source capabilities, Vendor
Defined Message (VDM) configurations, status indications, links to execute common
commands, physical media (FSK or BMC), and starting role selections.
Commands Tab
– Provides a list of commands that can be selected and executed.
Checks Tab
– Lists compliance checks that can be enabled and run in the background during
Exerciser operation.
Commands Tab
– Provides a list of commands that can be selected and executed.
BIST Tab
– Provides various selections to enable BIST modes.
Advanced Tab
– Allows for control of certain physical layer parameters and well as stack
timing values.
Settings Tab
– Shows all available USB Explorer 350 units attached and allows for selection
of desired unit.
USB 3.x LFPS Mode
General Tab
– Provides selections and definitions for LFPS, SCD, and LBPM activities.
Advanced Tab
– Provides a list of editable timing parameters for various LFPS sequences.
Settings Tab
– Shows all available USB Explorer 350 units attached and allows for selection
of desired unit.
USB 3
.x Data Pump Mode
General Tab
– Provides selections for speed (Gen1 or Gen2), link status, links to execute
common LFPS commands, and a port type selection.
