INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND MAINTENANCE
Dear customer,
You have made an excellent choice by purchasing this cookware. Please
read and observe the following instructions to ensure you will enjoy your
new purchase for a long time.
Before first use
Please inspect the bottom of the cookware and the hob for any remaining
dirt, stickers and unevenness. Moving the cookware around may cause
damage. First clean your new cookware with hot water and normal
washing-up liquid and boil out 2-3 times. Then dry it well.
Care instructions
Fundamentally, this high quality material can be cleaned easily with a
sponge or washing-up brush and any commercial detergent soon after
the use. With stronger, more resistant soiling, we recommend soaking
them for a while. Do not use any sharp or pointy objects for cleaning,
even in case of heavy soiling. Remove limescale residue by using vinegar.
Basic information
Screwed fittings can become loose over time. These can, however, easily
be tightened using a standard screwdriver. Preheat the cookware at no
higher than a medium heat. Empty cookware may reach temperatures
of up to 500 °C very quickly, particularly on induction hobs.
Information for induction stoves
A humming noise may be heard when using induction cookware. This
noise is due to technical reasons and is not an indication of a defect in
your stove or cookware. The pot's bottom diameter must match the
size of the cooking zone, otherwise the cooking zone (magnetic field)
may not respond to the pot's bottom, especially if the bottom diameter
is smaller. Make sure that the pot is always placed in the centre of the
induction cooking zone.
Frying without fat
Briefly heat the cookware at a medium temperature then add a few
drops of cold water to the cookware. The ideal temperature has been
reached when these drops of water “bubble” and “dance”. The food can be
placed in the cookware, once the drops of water have evaporated. Push
down hard on the food, it becomes unstuck after a few minutes and can
then be turned. Now turn down the heat and cook the food until done.
When frying with fat
Always put the fat into the empty cookware before heating it up. Then
heat it up. Turn down the heat when the fat begins to smoke lightly.
Then lay the food to be fried into the cookware.
CAUTION
Please ensure that the cookware is not overheated when empty (when
it does not contain food). This presents a fire hazard. Furthermore, liquid
should not be allowed to completely evaporate. If, despite this, the
cookware becomes overheated, please ventilate the room thoroughly.
