Moiré
Correction
Modern monitors are affected by the undesirable side-effect of moiré. This is particularly
noticeable with a light background screen brightness and can often be eliminated by
selecting another background color. This effect produces an interference pattern which
results from a displacement between the electron beams and the shadow mask. Beam
point and shadow mask converge precisely in some parts of the screen, producing a
bright picture. Minor deviations make for a somewhat darker region in other parts of the
screen.
