IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
READ THIS BOOKLET THOROUGHLY BEFORE
USE AND SAVE IT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
When using this and other electrical appliances, always follow
these basic precautions:
1. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above,
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacity,
or a lack of knowledge and experience, that are supervised, or
have been given instruction regarding the safe use of the appli-
ance and understand the hazards involved. Children must not
play with the appliance. Children must not clean or maintain
the appliance unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
2. Keep the appliance and its lead out of the reach of children
under 8 years old.
3. If the mains lead is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons
in order to avoid a hazard.
4. The appliance should not be placed against a wall.
5. The temperature of surfaces may be high when the appli-
ance is in operation.
6. Its metal surfaces are liable to get hot during use.
7. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an
external timer or separate remote-control system.
8. The appliance is for indoor use only.
9. The appliance must not be immersed in water for cleaning.
10. Always unplug the toaster from the mains and allow to cool
before cleaning.
