The 4-wire video-intercom kit can easily be installed. It consists of
one monitor with 4" flat screen powered by a transformer connect-
ed to the A.C. network, one entrance panel “GALILEO” with CCD
camera and outdoor unit, one transformer, and 30m of cable for
audio and video connections.
This installation may be expanded by adding extra monitors
and/or interphones, a call repeater relay and other useful
accessories may be supplied on request.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Carry out connections as described in this leaflet. When entrance
panel push-button is pressed, a call signal is heard and the monitor
comes on immediately, showing a clear image of the caller.
Lift handset to communicate with caller and if required operate the
electric lock by pressing the push-button with the key symbol.
The monitor turns off automatically after about 30".
The camera can be switched on by pressing the push-button with
the camera symbol on the monitor, thus allowing an external view
when required.

MONITOR INSTALLATION
Install monitor far from sources of heat and light.
Fig. 1 - Fix metal hooking plate of monitor to 6-module standard
back box (its base mounted at 1.40 m. from floor level).
Fig. 2 - When cable is externally installed, remove plastic as indi-
cated. Carry out connections on monitor terminal block by
following drawing on page 8 or version of basic diagram on
pages 9-12.
Fig. 3 - After connecting cables to terminal block, insert monitor fol-
lowing arrows 1 and 2.
Fig. 4 - Slide A adjusts the call volume; knob B adjusts brightness.
Knob C is to adjust the contrast;
push-button D
operates electric lock;
push-button E
is used for auxiliary functions (stair-light, etc.).
push-button F
is used to switch on installation from the monitor;

using proper transformation desk kit Art. 5610.
NOTES:
We guarantee the maximum performance of this system if used in
conjunction with special cable supplied (30m), including connection of
12V A.C. 10 VA electric lock.
If longer distances up to max 200m are required, increase cable sec-
tion. Use coaxial cable type RG59.
ENTRANCE PANEL FOR VIDEO DOOR ENTRY SYSTEMS
INSTALLATION (Art. 8937)
Before installing equipment, choose location for camera entrance
panel: the camera shouid be protected from direct light (sun, car
headlights, etc.) as this may affect the quality of the picture, and may
damage the camera. This camera is equipped with infrared Leds
allowing perfect picture at one metre distance. It is advisable to pro-
tect panel with some form of weatherproof shelter.
Fig. 6 - Remove the flush-mounted back box from the panel.
Flush-mount the back box upper part at an advisable height
of 1,65 m. from the floor level.
Fig. 7 - Remove front plate as follows (N.B. Screw in base has
already been loosened.):
1- Pull front plate downwards.
2- Detach panel by pulling its lower edge outwards. To fix
front plate again, carry out above operations in the opposite
sequence. Retighten screw on lower border with special key
provided, point A.
Fig. 8- Terminal block is removable (point B). Point A are the
infrared Leds. The drawing also shows the horizontal and
vertical camera coverage at one metre distance.
After connecting electric lock, insert CCD camera in position
and fix it as previously explained (Fig. 7).
Fig. 9- To reach name-tag, remove name-tag holder from the back
as shown in drawing.
Plate dimensions: 102 x 271 mm (L x H)
Back box dimensions: 89 X 248 X 50 mm. (L x H x D)
The panel may be installed also in the surface wall-mounted version
by using frames with rainproof cover Art. 9212 and surface wall-
mounted back boxes Art. 9312.
Door entry panel dimensions: 118x290x68 mm (L x H x D)
INSTALLATION OF SUPPLY TRANSFORMER
4-DIN module supply transformer Art. 832/030 may be wall mounted
with long fixing screws (supplied) or on a box equipped with DIN sup-
port. It is advisable to connect supply network with a double pole
fused isolator. This transformer is equipped with thermic protectedion
(PTC) so that, in the event of a short-circuit to the secondary supply,
the protectedion circuit removes the 15V secondary voltage until the
fault is rectified.
After cutting off power supply to the primary and after eliminat-
ing the short-circuit, it is necessary to wait for a few minutes to
allow cooling of the protectedive device, so that the transformer
may start normal operation again.
FAULT-FINDING (can be solved by users):
MONITOR OFF
Check that transformer has been conneoted correctly to mains sup-
ply. Voltage on terminals 11 and 12 of monitor shouid be of 15V.
MONITOR ON WITHOUT PICTURE:
Check that cables between monitor and camera are wired properly
and that there are not interruptions and/or short circuits.
SCREEN.WITH ONE OR TWO HORIZONTAL BARS AND/OR DIS-
TORTED PICTURES.
Check that supply voltage to terminals M and 1 of camera is not less
than 13V (when monitor is ON). If installation still does not work, con-
tact our maintenance department or specialized technicians.
