OPERATION
Only if realignment of the riving knife is necessary:
3. Loosen hexagon socket screws (B1).
4. Adjust riving knife (2) to desired position. Distance
between the saw blade’s outer edge and the riving
knife must be 3-8mm.
5. Tighten hexagon socket screws (B1).
NOTE:
When the riving knife is set to its upper position the rip
fence can only be placed over the blade guard when the
upper saw table is fully raised.
Connection to AC Power
DANGER! HIGH VOLTAGE
Q
Operate this machine in dry surroundings only.
Q
Operate the machine only on power source meeting
the following requirements (see also “Technical
specifications”).
- Mains voltage and system frequency conform to
the voltage and frequency shown on the machine’s
rating label;
- Fuse protection by a residual current operated
device (RCD) of 30mA sensitivity.
- Outlets properly installed, earthed, and tested.
Q
Position power supply cable so it does not interfere
with the work and is not damaged.
Q
Protect power supply cable from heat, aggressive
liquids and sharp edges.
Q
Use only rubber-jacketed extension cables of
sufficient lead cross-section (3 x 1.5mm2).
Q
Do not pull on power supply cable to unplug.
CROSSCUT SAW MODE
Safety Devices
Retractable blade guard (Fig.16)
The retractable blade guard (C1) protects against
accidental contact with the saw blade and from chips
flying about.
The retractable blade guard must always return
automatically into its starting position when the sawhead
is lifted. When the sawhead is in the starting position the
saw blade must be covered all around.
Safety lock (Fig.2-3)
The safety lock (6) locks the sawhead in the upper
position and prevents the retractable blade guard from
exposing the saw blade.
The safety lock is released by pressing on it. The
sawhead (19) can now be lowered; when the sawhead is
lowered the retractable blade guard is retracted, exposing
the saw blade.
After the cut is made – and the sawhead is in its upper
starting position – the retractable blade guard is locked
again by the safety lock.
Setting up (Fig.12 & Fig.13)
DANGER!
Before the machine is set up:
-
Turn machine OFF,
-
Unplug
-
Wait until the machine has come to a
complete stop
1. It’s a must to place rip fence (4) to cover the saw
blade and secure in position, and the rip fence must
engage Switch A(8), secure in place with the rip fence
lock knob(5).
2. Release lock down pin(22) and raise sawhead fully.
3. Remove the lower blade guard (14).
4. Use Trigger(20) to activate the machine.
OPERATION
DANGER!
Q
Before using the machine always check to see that
the following are in proper working order
- Retractable blade guard.
Q
Use personal protection gear.
Q
Assume proper operating position
- At the front of the saw
- In front of the saw
- To the side of the line of cut
Q
Risk of crushing! When tilting the sawhead assembly
to the side, hold the sawhead at the handle and keep
your fingers away from the track arm holder and out
of its tilting range! Hold at the sawhead.
Q
If the type of work requires, use the following:
- work support-for long stock, which would otherwise
fall off the table on completion of the cut;
- dust
collector.
Q
Use an auxiliary fence if small cutoffs will result when
cutting.
Q
Always hold the work piece down on the table and do
not jam it.
Q
Do not attempt to stop the saw blade by pushing the
work piece against its side. Risk of injury if the saw
blade is blocked.
