Service Request Sub-function
–
STOP(0x01)
This function puts the DNP3 Outstation in STOPPED state for CPE115. In this state, the DNP3
Outstation will respond to Class 0, 1, 2, or 3 poll requests. The requests will be serviced with current
state data; however, the data will be marked as offline to the Master Station. In STOP Mode, CROB and
Analog Output Values will return a failure to the Master Station.
Note:
a.
This request can only be successfully performed when the DNP3 Outstation is in RUNNING
state. It does not remove or clear the configuration files. The controller will set the
corresponding status bit (STOPPED) in the DNP3 Outstation status if the command has been
handled successfully.
b.
When resuming from STOPPED to READY_TO_START state using a service request the changes
made to the configuration parameters will not be effective. For changes to be effective a
CLEAR request must be issued after sending the STOP request.
