NX UPS Single Module And Parallel System 250kVA ~ 800kVA User Manual
2. Open the front door of the UPS, and place the switch Q3 in ‘ON’ position.
At this time, the load is powered by the maintenance bypass.
Caution
When the UPS is in maintenance mode, the load is not protected against abnormal mains supply.
5.3.5 Transfer From Maintenance Mode To Normal Mode
The following procedures will transfer the UPS from maintenance mode to normal mode.
1. Close the switch Q2.
Confirm that the bypass indicator is on. At this time, the UPS works in bypass mode.
2. Disconnect the switch Q3.
3. If the UPS is equipped with the switch Q1 (option), close switch Q1 when the rectifier and bypass adopt two-route
mains input configuration, and close switch Q2 when the rectifier and bypass share the same route mains input, then
the rectifier starts.
4. If the bypass cabinet has no switch Q1 (option), close external power switch when the rectifier and bypass adopt
two-route mains input configuration, then the rectifier starts.
5. Wait until the rectifier start process is completed, and the rectifier indicator turns constant green, then press the
INVERTER ON key to start the inverter.
When the inverter indicator turns constant green, the UPS is operating in normal mode.
At the moment, the load has been transferred to the inverter supply
5.4 Battery Maintenance Test Procedures
Battery maintenance test includes periodic test and manual maintenance test, in which the battery discharges up to
20% of the total battery capacity. The interval of periodic test is set through the background. Manual maintenance test
is initiated through the LCD menus on the operator control and display panel and requires password verification.
The procedures for manual maintenance test are as follows:
1. At the Command menu, press the F3 (up) or F4 (down) key to select the Battery maintenance test menu. Press the
HELP (enter) key to confirm.
2. Upon screen prompt, press the F3 (up) and F4 (down) keys to input the password, and press the HELP (enter) key
to confirm.
3. Wait until the battery test is completed.
When the battery test is complete, the UPS transfers to normal mode automatically, and the battery begins to charge.
4. Stop the battery test.
During battery maintenance test, you can select the Stop testing option on the Command menu to abort the test.
5.5 Battery Capacity Test Procedures
Battery capacity test is to test the battery activity and residual capacity and calculate the battery autonomy time. In
the test, the battery discharge continuously until the battery undervoltage shutdown threshold. After the test, the
system updates the battery curve chart.
Battery capacity test is initiated through the LCD menus on the operator control and display panel and requires
password verification. The procedures for battery capacity test are as follows:
1. At the Command menu, press the F3 (up) or F4 (down) key to select the Battery capacity test menu. Press the
HELP (enter) key to confirm.
2. Upon screen prompt, press the F3 (up) and F4 (down) keys to input the password, and press the HELP (enter) key
