3.0 Connecting by USB cable
You can connect both EW7031 and EW7032 to your computer using the USB
connection cable. If you want to connect your EW7032 using the eSATA cable you do
not need to use the USB connection cable and you can go to the next chapter.
1.
Turn off your computer.
2.
Connect the double USB type A plug to two free USB ports on your computer.
3.
Connect the USB connection cable to the housing. (2)
4.
Turn on your computer. Windows will automatically recognize the housing.
4.0 Connecting by eSATA cable (EW7032)
Follow these instructions to connect your EW7032 to your computer using the eSATA
cable. You do not need to use the USB connection cable.
1.
Turn off your computer.
2.
Connect the eSATA cable to the eSATA port on your computer.
3.
Connect the eSATA cable to the housing. (3)
4.
Connect the USB power cable to the housing. (4)
5.
Turn on your computer. If all is well, Windows will automatically recognize the
housing.
5.0 Preparing your hard disk for usage
Note! The steps below are only necessary if you use a new hard disk.
