Display Options Tab
Letters/Numbers:
EMxpert recent scanner’s columns are indicated by letters and all prior models’ columns
are indicated by numbers. Check box Display Letter for Scanner for the software to display columns with
letters to match your scanner grid format.
Color Spectrum:
Color options for the spatial display.
Probe Compensation:
This feature will take the calibration data for each of the 1218 probes and apply it
to measured signals. You can select Peaks or All data. Compensation will normalize the individual probe
response across the operating frequency and compensate for the antenna response and the air, switches
and path losses. It is turned OFF by default as it only matters for far-field prediction and comparison with
handheld or automated probe measurements.
Compensation can be quite high at some frequencies. If you select Peaks, noise peaks above the
threshold are compensated while the noise floor is not, making any peak look like strong signals. If there
is any doubt as to whether a compensated peak is in fact present, turn off the compensation altogether
or select All data.
Project Node Settings
To select Project Node settings, either click on
in the main control bar or right click on the Project Node
and then left click on Settings. Nodes will inherit settings from project settings e.g. start/stop frequency,
RBW, amplitude adjustment, overlay etc. To change settings of a particular scan, select the scan and
click
or right click on the scan and select Settings.
