ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Rack Assembly
1)
If your rack is plated it is best to keep the tissue on during installation to avoid fingerprinting.
2)
Position the rack body flat on a table. Locate the six off-center holes. On the straight portions of the
rack, insert the four flathead rivets so they protrude into the rack’s interior. Slide a push nut onto each
rivet and push toward the rack body so the rivets are held tightly. Find the two off-center holes next to
the curve. Insert the two round head rivets. Lock the push nuts as you did above. The two centered holes
on each straight side are mounting holes, not rivet holes.
3)
If mounting in solid wood, use the 1 ½” screws. If mounting in sheetrock use the Togglers (instructions
in the kit). For instance, if two of the marked holes are in wood and two are not, use two wood screws
provided and then two of the Togglers in the other two holes where only sheetrock is found. In most
homes, the two corner holes often find wood. The holes are placed on 32” centers.
4)
Position the rack at the desired location. Measure from the ceiling to the inside and outside corners of
both sides to ensure it is level. Mark the centers of the 4 mounting holes. If you are working on a sheet
rocked wall, drive a small nail as a test to determine if the wall is hollow or has a wooden support. If it is
not convenient to hang your rack directly into wood joists you may use the included DRYWALL
anchors enclosed with your rack. See Toggler® brand manufacturer recommendations for weight limits
included in the instructions in the Toggler kit.
5)
Place the grid on the rivets. Distribute your cookware uniformly around the rack and grid.
It is important that your rack is assembled correctly. If the unit is assembled or used incorrectly, it
could become unstable and collapse, possibly causing injury.
