Countermeasures when the wire rope is caught
between the drum and the casing

Strongly pull the wire rope with the tool (equipment) attached.
REMINDER
Inspect the wire rope after pulling it out. Replace the wire rope if any damage is found.

If the wire rope cannot be pulled out, remove the retaining ring from the end of the worm.

To release the spring tension, turn the worm in the “-” direction (counterclockwise) and
remove the worm.
The washer comes off together with the worm. Keep the washer because it is used for
reinstallation. If the washer cannot be removed, follow step
7
to remove the washer.

Remove the tool from the bottom hook, and remove the balancer from the support
members.
