1. Screw the dipstick out of the motor (see Fig. 14 (2)).
2. Wipe the oil from the dipstick with a lint-free cloth.
3. Screw the clean dipstick completely back in, and then
immediately back out.
4. If the oil level is outside the marks (see Fig. 14 (1)), oil
must be added. (If the level is above the mark, oil must
be drained!)
The oil level has been checked.
How to add oil (grade SAE10W-40):
1. Screw the dipstick out of the motor.
2. Add oil through a funnel.
3. Screw the clean dipstick completely back in, and then
immediately back out.
4. If the oil level is outside the marks, oil must be added. (If
the level is above the mark, oil must be drained!)
The oil has been topped off.
How to drain the oil:
1. Set up an oil collection container to catch the draining oil.
2. Screw the dipstick out of the motor.
3. Now screw out the oil drain plug using the spanner pro-
vided (see p. 5).
4. After it is removed, the oil will drain.
5. Tilt the assembly slightly so that the oil can drain com-
pletely out. Meanwhile, make sure that no petrol can es-
cape to the carburettor.
6. Screw the dipstick and oil drain plug back in.
7. Use a rag to wipe away the remaining oil.
The oil has been drained.
CAUTION!
When the generator is tilted, petrol can escape from the
carburettor's overflow.

Carefully wipe up it up.
