During the installation of photovoltaic modules, the DC voltage
may exceed 50 volts for series connection. For that reason, a
high level of electrotechnical knowledge is needed, which means
the installation should be performed by qualified experts or
trained electricians.
Module connections carry a direct current and are power supplies
when operated under load and under incident light. Here, it
makes no difference whether the PV module is or is not
connected. When the photovoltaic modules are connected in
series, the voltage is added together. When the strings are
connected in parallel, the current is added together.
Consequently, high currents and voltages can arise in a system
with multiple photovoltaic modules. This may be a serious
danger to health and life if the operating and installation guide is
not followed. The voltage of even a single module can cause an
electric shock.
Before installation, please contact the local authorities and the
local energy utility company for the necessary approval and the
installation and testing conditions. Modules that are sold by
Energetica Energietechnik GmbH meet all the necessary European
standards and quality standards, and they are CE marked.

The photovoltaic modules manufactured by Energetica
generate an electric current under daylight, which may lead
to serious injuries and death.
•
In order to prevent the generation of electrical energy
during the installation and handling, cover the modules on
the front side with non-transparent material.
•
Prevent electrical accidents during the installation,
connection, operation and maintenance by handling the
modules carefully.
•
Modules with a broken glass surface or a crack in the back
film are damaged and must not be used under any
circumstances, because any contact to the surface of the
module or the mounting structure may cause an electric
shock and death.
•
Since sparks or arcs may occur during the operation or
installation, keep easily flammable substances, gasses or
vapours far away.
•
Check to make sure the photovoltaic module is in perfect
condition before the installation.
•
Wear work gloves when handling the PV modules to avoid
injuries caused by firm contact with the deburred cut
surfaces.
•
Never leave the photovoltaic module standing alone or
unsecured.
•
Do not walk on or load the photovoltaic module or let it fall.
•
During the installation, make sure that no children,
uninstructed persons or animals are near the system or the
modules.
•
Never try to remove markings or parts that were attached
by the manufacturer or to change or disassemble the
photovoltaic module.
•
Do not put any paint, glue or other material on the module.
•
Artificial bundling, focussing, concentrating or reflecting of
sunlight onto the module is not allowed.
•
The installation must only be performed in a dry
environment with dry, insulated tools that comply with the
standard.
•
The modules must not be grabbed by the junction box
during transport.
•
The module labels must not be removed. Otherwise any
warranty entitlement is lost.
•
The fastenings of the modules must be dimensioned in
accordance with the load requirements of the site taking
the building statics into consideration.
•
Only modules of the same type and output may be used in
one PV system. In case of non-compliance, the performance
of the PV system may be considerably adversely affected.
•
The modules may not be mounted as overhead glazing.
•
In order to not affect the energy yield of the modules and to
prevent failures, avoid mounting them on shady areas.
•
During the installation of the PV system, observe the
manufacturer’s safety instructions in the individual
operating guides.
