Target H.R.
The computer will automatically change the resistance to reach your target heart rate (THR).
The optimal rate is depending on your age and training target.
1. Find your target heart rate: 55%, 75% or 90% of your maximum heart rate (use Up/
Down button to select). You can also select your own target heart rate (display THR).
2. Select your heart rate by pressing the enter button. If you have chosen for the THR
option; define your target heart rate by pressing the up or down button. Select your
target heart rate by pressing the enter button.
3. Pre-set data (see Pre-sets) or press start/ stop button to start training.
If your heart rate remains above the selected heart rate (even on the lowest resistance
level), the computer will beep turn automatically off after 30 seconds to prevent you from
exercising at a too high heart rate.
Pre-sets
There are 6 values that can be pre-set as training targets:
A. Resistance
B. Time
C. Distance
D. Energy Consumption (calories)
E. Training Intensity (Watt)
– only in manual mode
F. Pulse (BPM) – set maximum pulse,
not in target heart rate mode
1. Press enter. One of the 6 pre-set categories will now blink in the diplay.
2. Select target value by pressing the up or down button. Not every value needs to be pre-
set as target. Skip a category by pressing the enter button directly after step 1.
3. Enter the target value by pressing the enter button.
4. Start your training by pressing Start/ Stop or select next target value (step 2).
The pre-set data will run backwards after starting training. Once a pre-set has been reached
the computer will beep and end the training program.
Ergometer
In the manual mode the Watt value can be pre-set. Watt is a measurement to indicate the
intensity of training. Watt is most important for rehabilitation purposes. The intensity of
training is the same during the whole training session, thus a training overload is prevented.
Please consult your physician to find your optimal Watt setting!
This function is only found on
Speed Independent Ergometers
like this home exerciser.
The computer will automatically change the resistance level such that the Watt level remains
the same. Pedalling faster lowers the resistance and pedalling slower increases the
resistance. A target value for Watt can be set in the same way as the other pre-sets.
Pulse
Attach the ear clip, hold both hand on pulse connections or use the ENERGETICS chest
transmitter set (optional). Pulse is displayed in Beats Per Minute (BPM).
Resistance
At any time the resistance can be changed by pushing the up or down button.
Pause
The training can be paused by pushing the start/ stop button. P will appear in the display.
