8.3 Directional Lever
The directional lever is located on the left side of the
tool. The lever position determines the piston direction
of travel when the cutter is operated. See Figure 4.
• Position 1:
Piston advances and moving blade slides
forward.
• Position 2:
Piston retracts and moving blade slides
rearward.

8.4 Trigger On-Off Switch
NOTICE:
WARNING
To prevent serious personal injury, be
certain that hands, fingers and other body parts are
away from the cutting area before depressing the
cutter trigger.
A trigger mounted in the cutter grip controls cutter
operation. Pressing the trigger automatically starts the
cutter electric motor. See Figure 5.
• With the directional lever in position 1, press and hold
the trigger to advance the piston and slide the moving
blade forward. See Figure 6.
• With the directional lever in position 2, press and hold
the trigger to retract the piston and slide the moving
blade rearward. See Figure 7.
• Release the trigger at any time to stop the piston and
moving blade. Be advised that there may be a brief
delay until the piston comes to a complete stop.
• The piston will stop moving when it has reached
either its minimum or maximum extension. To prevent
possible damage to the cutter, do not continue to
press the trigger after the cylinder is fully retracted or
extended.
