IMPORTANT:

Do not lift hydraulic equipment by the

hoses or swivel couplers. Use the carrying handle or
other means of safe transport.

CAUTION: Keep hydraulic equipment away from
flames and heat.

Excessive heat will soften

packings and seals, resulting in fluid leaks. Heat

also weakens hose materials and packings. For optimum
performance do not expose equipment to temperatures
of 65°C [150°F] or higher. Protect hoses and cylinders from
weld spatter.

DANGER: Do not handle pressurized hoses.

Escaping oil under pressure can penetrate the skin,
causing serious injury. If oil is injected under the

skin, see a doctor immediately.

WARNING:

Only use hydraulic cylinders in a coupled

system. Never use a cylinder with unconnected
couplers. If the cylinder becomes extremely

overloaded, components can fail catastrophically causing
severe personal injury.

Distribute the load evenly across the entire saddle
surface. Always use a saddle to protect the plunger.

IMPORTANT:

Hydraulic equipment must only be

serviced by a qualified hydraulic technician. For
repair service, contact the Authorized ENERPAC

Service Center in your area. To protect your warranty, use
only ENERPAC oil.

WARNING:

Immediately replace worn or damaged

parts by genuine ENERPAC parts. Standard grade
parts will break causing personal injury and property

damage. ENERPAC parts are designed to fit properly and
withstand high loads.

3.0  DESCRIPTION

Use Hydra-Lift

®

models IPL-100 and IPL-101 on Enerpac

H-frame presses. Use IPL-R100 and IPL-R200 on Enerpac
Roll Frame presses.

4.0 MOUNTING

1.

Install jack handle using supplied hardware.

2.

Using the nuts, bolts, and washers supplied, mount the
Hydra-Lift

®

, with the coupler facing outward, on the

bracket that is welded to the press frame.  Tighten
securely, but not excessively.

NOTE:

On 50 and 100 ton Roll Frame presses, the

mounting bracket may need to be attached to the press
frame before the Hydra-Lift

®

is mounted.

3.

On roll frame presses, connect hose from hand pump to
Hydra-Lift

®

.

4.

If an H-Frame press is to be mounted to the floor or
some other foundation, lower press bed to lowest set of
holes before drilling and bolting down.  This will ensure
that the press does not twist and that the press bed will
line up with all sets of holes in the press legs.  See Press
Bed Adjustment below.

5.0 PRESS BED ADJUSTMENT

Use the Hydra-Lift

®

to reposition the press bed or bolster

as instructed below.

WARNING:

Keep hands away from the press

bed/bolster and press frame when repositioning
bed/bolster  with the

Hydra-Lift

®

.

WARNING:

Remove all items from the press

bed/bolster before raising or lowering bed/bolster.

1.

Open the Hydra-Lift

®

or hand pump release valve

(I)

to

fully extend the plunger.

2.

Slide the lifting chain

(J)

into the lifting hook on the

press bed/bolster as shown in Figure 1. Install clinch pin
(50, 100, 150 and 200 ton models only).

WARNING:

Make sure that the lifting chain is fully and

securely engaged with the lifting hook prior to
repositioning the press bed/bolster. On 50, 100, 150

and 200 ton models only, be certain that clinch pin is installed.

3.

Remove retaining rings from back of bed/bolster pins

(C)

.

4.

Close release valve

(I)

on Hydra-Lift

®

or hand pump.

5.

Operate Hydra-Lift

®

pump to lift the press bed/bolster

off of the pins.

6.

Twist and pull to remove bed/bolster pins

(C)

.

7.

Continue raising the press bed/bolster until lowest hole
aligns with hole in press frame. (The lowest press
bed/bolster hole will always be on the opposite side of
the press from the lifting chain.)  If lowering bed/bolster,
slowly open release valve, lowering press bed/bolster
until the lowest hole aligns with hole in press frame.
Insert bed/bolster pin

(C)

.

8.

Slowly open release valve

(I)

, lowering press

bed/bolster

(E)

until remaining press pin holes are

aligned.  Close release valve

(I)

on Hydra-Lift

®

or hand

pump and insert the other bed/bolster pin

(C)

.

9.

Install retaining rings on bed/bolster pins

(C)

.

10. Open release valve

(I)

on Hydra-Lift

®

or hand pump.

11. Disconnect chain

(J)

from lifting hook

(B)

to prevent

accidental loading of chain.
