FLUSHING
AND
DEGREASING
OF
WATER
AND
GLYCOL
COILS
Coil
tubing
may
contain
material
or
residue
from
manufacturing,
transportation
or
storage.
To
prevent
possible
damage
to
other
components
in
the
system,
the
coils
must
be
flushed
and
degreased.
Consult
a
qualified
water
treatment
specialist.
HEAT
TRANSFER
FLUIDS
The
coil(s)
provided
have
been
selected
for
use
with
a
specific
heat
transfer
fluid
as
shown
on
the
Submittal
Record.
Use
of
other
fluids
will
result
in
different
performance
and
can
damage
the
coil(s).
It
is
imperative
to
properly
select
and
apply
heat
transfer
fluids
used
in
heating
and
cooling
systems.
Untreated,
improperly
treated
or
improper
use
of
fluids
or
use
of
fluids
not
approved
for
use
in
commercial
heating
and
cooling
systems
can
damage
coils
and
system
components.
For
selection
and
application
of
heat
transfer
fluids,
always
follow
the
manufacturers’
recommendations
including
treatment,
mixing
and
filling.
Warranty
will
be
void
if
coil
damage
results
from
misapplication
or
improper
treatment
of
the
heat
transfer
fluid.
Some
systems
may
use
CPVC
piping.
Do
not
use
propylene
glycol
with
CPVC.
