5.9.
Wind turbine erection
Before starting with the wind turbine erection, make the following check.
1.
Rotate the blades in clockwise direction (seen from the front) with the 3
generator cables (power converter input) disconnected. The blades should rotate
freely. No electrical brake, no mechanical brake are on.
2.
Connect the 3 generator cables to the power converter and rotate the blades in
clockwise direction. As the electrical brake is active, the blades can rotate very
slowly.
3.
In case the wind turbine erection is carried out before the tower cable is
connected to the power converter, short-circuit the 3 phases of tower cable. If the
cable is not short-circuited, the wind turbine can start rotating without control until
the mechanical brake is blocked.
1.
Place a washer on each of the
levelling nuts.
2.
Measure the height of the tower
bolts (FD-1) from the foundation and set
the nuts at 80mm above the concrete.
Level all the nuts to create a levelled
surface for the tower base.
3.
Use the tractel to lift up the wind
turbine. Use it smoothly, and stop if the
tower top is oscillating too much.
Be careful during the lifting
up process. No operators
around the tower while this
is lifting.
