If the irradiance and temperature data are being
correctly received from the E-Sens, two curves
will appear on the screen, one white and the other
green. The white curve represents the actual
measurement and the green curve the result of
extrapolation to STC conditions. To not display the
green curve (STC conditions), deactivate this option
as detailed in
section 5.5.1.
The results of P
M
, V
OC
,
and I
SC
shown correspond with the results of the
curve extrapolated to STC (if calculated). These
results can be used to compare the performance
obtained with the manufacturer’s catalog values.
Extrapolation to STC will not be possible if the
irradiance and temperature conditions are not
received from the E-Sens. Consequently, only the
white curve (actual measurement) will be displayed
along with P
M
, V
OC
, and I
SC
which correspond to the
measured curve. In this case, the results cannot be
used with the manufacturer’s catalog values.
Once the curve is measured, the process will
continue depending on the selected measurement
options
(see sections 5.3.2-5.3.4).
In addition, the
name of the file will change, incrementing by one
while displaying the real name with which the curve
will be saved in case the user wishes to save it. For
more information on the format and content of the
saved file of the I-V curve measurement
see section
5.4.3.
5.4 Saving the I-V curve
The file will be saved with the name shown in the
“Name” box. This name is automatically modified
by the device adding the measurement number at
the end of it (quantity of the measurements with the
same name base).
Thus, the final name consists of the base name
configured by the user
(section 5.2.2.E)
followed by
a hyphen, the curve number (which is automatically
updated) and the extension “.csv” at the end. An
example of the saved name is shown below:
· Measure-009.csv
Before saving a curve with the assigned name, the
device verifies in the SD that there is no file with
that name. If a file with the same name is found,
the new name will be automatically incremented
by one before being saved under a new name. The
numeration starts with number 1 and is limited to
up to 999 curves with the same name.
