Entek IRD 6687 Protection Monitor
6687 Monitor
Display
Type
Dot matrix liquid crystal display with backlight
Resolution
Digital numerical value, resolution depends on scale:
value > 100, no decimal places
10 < value < 100, 1 decimal place
value < 10, 2 decimal places
Data displayed
Measurement shown on vertical bar graph with alarm indicators;
also displays digital numerical value
Alternate display shows date, time, and transducer DC gap
Units displayed
Units in mil, mm, µm, ins, °rot
Status messages
Transducer failure (TX FAIL 1, 2) per channel
Alert alarm (ALERT 1, 2) per channel
Danger alarm (DANGER 1, 2) per channel
Start-up alarm inhibition in effect (STARTUP)
Manual alarm inhibition (INHIBIT)
System configuration read failure (SYS FAIL)
Relays
Number
Per module, 7 relays on associated 6691 power supply/relay
module; System OK, 1 Alert relay per channel, 2 Danger relays
per channel
Programming
Per monitor, user-configured for normally energized (failsafe),
normally de-energized (nonfailsafe), latching, nonlatching, time
delay
Reset
Relays respond to the RES button on the front panel as well as
remote relay reset signal through backplane terminals
Contact rating
5 A @ 120 VAC, 50/60 Hz
5 A @ 30 VDC - requires a minimum current of 100 mA at a
minimum of 5 VDC
Programming
Configuration
All major monitoring and display parameters are user-configured
from front panel (with security) through setup menus
Parameters
User-configured parameters include:
Communications - MODBUS address, baud rate, parity,
rescale, scale factor
Range - input units, transducer sensitivity, full scale, alarm
setpoints
Transducer OK - transducer low and high bias voltage each
channel
Relays - failsafe or nonfailsafe, latching or nonlatching, time
delays
Channels - 1 or 2 input channels
Display zeroing - each channel can be zeroed to show the
desired display value
